Tenders, Contracts & Pricing Specialist/Manager ANZ (Title Option)

Purpose of the role 

 

Your role will own the end-to-end coordination of tenders, administer and maintain commercial contracts, lead ANZ pricing governance, and provide hands-on contract administration for key strategic customers. The role partners closely with Sales, Clinical, Service, Finance and Legal to deliver compliant, competitive submissions, accurate pricing, and reliable contract performance. 

 

Key responsibilities 

 

Tender coordination 

 

  • Opportunity screening: Monitor paid tender notifications 

  • Tender setup: Register opportunity and allocate correct Teams grouping, download packs, and create a timeline from release to submission. 

  • Document review & planning: Read all documents end-to-end. Convene kick-off meetings with key staff to share and create due dates, key risks and key tasks.  

  • Contract review: Flag problematic clauses and brief APAC Legal with a clear return-by date. Consolidate legal departures and escalate any commercial risk/decision points to ANZ leadership for approval prior to submission. 

  • Cross-functional inputs: Host working sessions; capture Sales insights and allocate tasks to Sales/Service/Clinical/Data with dates and track progress live in the submission workspace. 

  • Authoring & compilation: Complete narrative responses and pricing forms using the Tender Library 

  • Samples & presentations: Coordinate approvals, labelling, logistics and delivery windows. Schedule/prepare presentations when requested. 

  • Pricing review: Pricing check with current and updated pricing schedule, and approval with Finance and Country Manager ANZ.  

  • Submission: Quality-assure for completeness, formatting and accuracy business partnering with Country Manager ANZ for final submissions.  

 

Contract administration & maintenance 

 

  • BAU support: Triage procurement queries (pricing discrepancies, recalls, new product info, delays, opportunities). 

  • Sales & compliance reporting: Deliver periodic reports per contract 

  • Catalogue changes: Add/remove products per contract formats; update customers on shortages/recalls with Quality/Sales. 

  • Certificates: Keep Insurance and ISO certificates current with customers. 

  • Renewals: Monitor expiry dates and alerts in ContractSafe; prepare renewal pipelines. 

  • Targeted opportunities: Respond to “Further Tender Opportunities” or similar mini-bids. 

  • Contract drafting: Prepare simple pricing/discount agreements when requested by customers. 

 

Pricing governance (ANZ) 

 

  • Master Price List: Maintain list, distributor and contract pricing 

  • Quote Template: Maintain quote templates and assist reps and troubleshoot issues. 

  • Contract pricing: Build contract price schedules and quantity discounts aligned to market and prior awards. 

  • Special pricing: Draft pricing agreements for Hospitals/EMS/Groups as needed. 

  • Oracle updates: Update Oracle ANZ pricing and liaise with International Pricing for contract/distributor changes and corrections. 

  • New product pricing: Partner Managers & Finance on pre-launch pricing. 

  • Annual increases: Coordinate list distribution increases with Finance, and Country Manager.  

  • Transfer pricing reviews: Annual review for anomalies. 

  • Queries: Act as first line approver for pricing queries. 

 

Information & document library 

 

  • Curate and continuously improve Tender Library 

  • Maintain and refresh Master Product Information Sheet 

 

Key relationships 

 

  • Internal: Sales (Hospital/PAD), Clinical Specialists, Technical Service Manager, Country Manager ANZ, Finance Manager ANZ, Sales Managers, Customer Service, HR, Quality/Regulatory, APAC Legal, International Pricing. 

  • External: State Health procurement bodies, private groups, distributors, logistics partners and tender portals. 

 

Skills, experience & attributes 

 

  • Demonstrated experience in government/healthcare tenders and commercial contract administration. 

  • Strong commercial literacy: pricing structures, departures, risk/benefit trade-offs. 

  • Advanced Excel (modelling, lookups, pivots) and high attention to detail in documents. 

  • Systems: Oracle (pricing/orders), Microsoft Teams/SharePoint, ContractSafe (or similar), tender portals (Australian Tenders/ICN/ICN Gateway), GS1 NPC, TGA/WAND familiarity. 

  • Comfortable navigating technical content and able to liaise with clinical experts and translate into clear responses. 

  • Excellent written communication (concise, compliant, persuasive) and document design/formatting. 

  • Strong organiser: builds realistic timelines, chases actions, and keeps stakeholders on track. 

  • Relationship-builder with a proactive, service-oriented mindset and resilient under deadline pressure. 

 

Qualifications 

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain, Health Administration, or similar (or equivalent experience). 

  • Prior experience in medical devices, healthcare, or regulated industries highly regarded. 

 

Compliance & ways of working 

 

  • Adhere to ZOLL quality, ethical sourcing and modern and registration requirements 

  • Maintain accurate records and audit trails for tenders, pricing and contracts. 

  • Champion continuous improvement across processes, templates and libraries. 

 

Additional information 

 

  • Occasional travel for meetings, presentations or hand-deliveries (e.g. NSW Health) may be required. 

  • Flexible/hybrid work supported in line with business needs. 

  • Duties may evolve with business priorities.
