              POSITION DESCRIPTION


TITLE:                                               KNBS AR Clerk/Office Clerk

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:           KNBS DIRECTOR

CONTROLLING SUPERVISOR:      TRIBAL CHAIR

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience in general office administration which includes advanced clerical and computer skills in a Windows environment required. Experience may be substituted for education. Must be able to set priorities, organize, coordinate work efficiently, and establish good personal relations with other workers.  Must be able to pass a background check, drug test and maintain such status.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The position provides clerical and administrative support services such as, but not limited to the following: word processing, mail administration (including e-mail), file maintenance, and project administration for the KNBS Director.  Duties will include record maintenance and security; assist with the KNBS entities, keep record of questions, problems, and complaints of the public and others.
 
  1. Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
  2. Assist in month-end closing procedures and reconciliations.
  3. Answer and manage incoming telephone calls; respond, manage and/or refer as appropriate, inquiries and requests from the public, KNBS, KSSN, KSSP, SWEX, WM, business contacts, vendors, and representatives from other organizations, as may be necessary.
  4. Provide administrative and clerical support to the KNBS Director as assigned.
  5. Provide customer service to the public and the members and employees of KNBS who have business with or KNBS Director.
  6. Provide or receive information on behalf of the KNBS Director enter, retrieve, and manage various reports.
  7. Type and prepare correspondence and other documents as directed by the KNBS Director, make copies of materials, records and/or correspondence for distribution as directed; and file and track records.
  8. Observe strict confidentiality in all matters, responsibilities, and duties performed on behalf of the KNBS Director, and in accord with the Kaw Nation's Freedom of Infromation and Privacy Act. 
  9. Provide assistance to other departments in KNBS.  Written records will be kept of departments helped and the nature of the work accomplished.
  10. Complete any other duties assigned by the immediate or controlling supervisor.
