Salary: $21.60 - $23.00

Position Overview

The Arc Ontario is seeking an Assistant Manager, Community Supports to help lead and oversee community-based habilitation programs, including Creative Expressions, Community Classes, and Special Olympics. This role supports program development, staff supervision, and person-centered services that promote independence, inclusion, and meaningful community involvement for individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with a passion for empowering others and creating inclusive opportunities in the community.

Work Location: Canandaigua, NY

Schedule: Full-Time - 40 Hours/Week Monday-Friday; Flexibility in schedule required to meet agency needs.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of staff management functions, including, but not limited to, recruitment, orientation and training, direct supervision, scheduling, performance evaluation, etc. Meets regularly with staff under direct supervision to discuss performance, service delivery and program planning.
  • Responsible for ongoing supervision of staff associated with Com Hab ensuring services are delivered efficiently and to the satisfaction of the participant.
  • Provides oversight and direction to the Creative Expressions team to ensure that the highest quality individualized services are provided both within day programs and to the larger community. Assists the team in expanding to incorporate community involvement and integration.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree in Human Services Field.
  • Over two (2) years' experience in working with individuals with developmental disabilities, including supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
