What Will You Be Doing?

· Identify, qualify, and onboard trade partners and vendors to build a reliable network

· Assign trade partners to projects based on expertise, capacity and performance, as well as location of assignment.

· Maintain strong relationships with trade partners to ensure ongoing collaboration and quality.

· Collaborating closely with strategic partners

· Negotiate pricing and contract terms with trade partners and suppliers to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards.

· Conduct market analysis to ensure competitive pricing and identify opportunities for value adds.

· Develop and manage teams to assist in negotiating and managing individual spend categories.

· Oversee the permitting process to ensure timely approvals for construction building permits.

· Develop teams to collaborate with many different municipalities to ensure compliance with requirements for each location.

· Oversees team responsible for creation and distribution of Construction Start packets and Preconstruction folders.

· Collaborates with the construction field team to ensure clarity as to all items included with the construction including specifications/Details to certain items.

· Develop and implement strategies to optimize purchasing

· Analyze trends and KPI metrics and identify areas for improvement

· Cross Functional work with Construction team, sales team, National team assets to streamline operations.

· Lead and mentor team of Purchasing managers while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

· Set performance goals and provide feedback to team members.

What Will You Bring?

· Bachelor’s degree in construction or business management and meet the minimum requirement for number of years of direct experience.

· Five years’ experience in Purchasing or Construction (with a production builder preferred)

· Demonstrated success in the home building industry, preferred.

· Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal 0 to communicate effectively with Trade Partners, Construction team, Sales Team, Marketing and peers.

· Comfortable presenting ideas and solutions to leadership and key business partners and team members

· Strong attention to details

· Strong organizational skills and time management skills

· Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.

· Ability to Coach and develop a team.

· Ability to learn quickly on the job.

· Ability to be a team player with a positive attitude looking to contribute positively to the company culture and maintain a personal and team development growth mindset.

· Proficient in Excel, Power Point, and Word.
