The Team Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of multi-disciplinary response to child abuse and neglect cases and scheduling of referral of services. The Team Coordinator leads a team of Case Coordinators and Medical Staff combined in order to deliver quality services to our community’s most vulnerable children.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Facilitates collaborative assessments and coordination of The Child Protection Team (CPT) services for the Child Protection Team (CPT)
· Works closely with community stakeholders (DCF, Law Enforcement, Prosecution and Medical) develop strong working relationships.
· Coordinates team building and information sharing opportunities with Child Protection Team members.
· Reviews the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) abuse reports of child abuse, abandonment, and neglect daily.
· Identifies intake notifications that fit within the CPT’s working protocols; criminal and civil
· Facilitates coordination of joint assessments and forensic interviews with DCF, and law enforcement to schedule interviews and/or add cases for discussion during case staffing’s for criminal and civil cases.
· Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of the Florida Statutes, Department of Health Child Protection Team Handbook and The Department of Children and Families Operating Procedures.
· Maintains on-going communication with CPT case coordinators, LE, DCF and Victim Services.
· Coordinates, participates and/or facilitates Child Protection Team case staffing’s, DCF facilitated staffing’s and community staffing’s at the request of the community.
· Follows CPT policies and procedures at all times.
· Attends bi-monthly supervision with Regional Director to review program progress and upcoming objectives
· Attends bi-weekly group supervision meetings with Coordination Team to review program progress and upcoming objectives
· Attends monthly staff meetings and other community meetings, as assigned
· Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of the mission, core values and vision of Camelot, CPT and the Department of Health model.
· Represents CPT and speaks at community events, as requested
· Conducts CPT tours, as requested
· Provides Program support for coordination and medical services, as needed
· Assists the Regional Director with strategic planning to identify growth opportunities for further development of the Child Protection Team relations and activities
· Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications:
· Master’s Degree in human services field preferred. Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science, criminology or related field required.
· Three years experience in direct delivery of social services; ie criminal justice, child protective services, and victim services
· Two years experience in supervisory roles
