We are currently seeking a talented individual to become a Slot Attendant. An individual could be successful if they possess the following.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Set the example for department by performing all functions of the position with professionalism and the highest level of guest service.
- Assist guests with how to play, read, and understand slot machines. Address any guest service concerns or questions with the highest level of guest service.
- Adheres to scheduling and coordinates with manager any scheduling concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction.
- Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
- Ensures customer service meets established standards.
- Verifies jackpot payouts but only up to $XX amount.
- Assists with service light calls in accordance with established procedures.
- Notifies Lead Slot Attendant if any technical or service issues arise.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
- Processes jackpot wins and notifies the CSM as needed
- Understands, promotes and explains company promotions and points system
- Recommends Oaklawn Rewards program to players not using a membership card
- Accurately completes paperwork within the guidelines of State, Federal regulations and company policies and procedures
- Supervises necessary authorization (request for jackpot) and pay out of hand-paid jackpots in accordance with policy
- Ensures that machines are filled with ticket paper, to keep machines in constant operation
- Services minor machine and printer malfunctions
- Swift response to player needs
- Assist with marketing promotions as needed
- Ensures cleanliness of assigned area, reporting issues to appropriate department(s)
- Assist in maintaining floor security by notifying department heads of any suspicious activity
- Maintains current knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state etc.) and attendant regulations, as well as the property’s internal controls, policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in customer service role.
- Ability to use a hand-held radio for communications
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
- Superior guest service and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work independently and on a team, and exercise good judgment in handling a variety of situations.
- Able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- Able to quickly adapt to changing priorities
- Must be able to respond calmly in crisis and stressful situations.
- Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
- Excellent skills in both written and oral communication.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word) and have knowledge of Slots operating systems.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
