Job Description

 

About the Team: The Production Supervisor will lead a dynamic off-shift team within the Gear Department at ZF Marysville, overseeing up to 25 direct reports. As a first-line supervisor, this role is critical in driving operational excellence through effective scheduling, performance management, training, and adherence to plant policies. The supervisor will be responsible for maintaining productivity, safety, and quality standards, while fostering a positive work environment. This position also plays a key role in recommending equipment upgrades and developing standard work instructions to support continuous improvement and efficient production processes.

 

What you can look forward to as a Production Supervisor:

  • Must have direct reports (typically 5-25+). 
  • Lead/direct activities of the team; responsible for team performance. 
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all equipment and resources; ensure compliance with established ZF policies and procedures. 
  • Correctly execute Collective Bargaining Agreement including properly canvassing and scheduling employees. 
  • Have a floor presence and effectively train individuals to use production/manufacturing equipment and administer other trainings as needed. 
  • Ensure effective employee relations and provides employee coaching and development. Resolve employee issues and disputes through problem resolution. 
  • Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Strive to continuously improve in all areas. 

 

Your profile as a Production Supervisor:

  • High School diploma or GED and 2-4+ years of related experience.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Suite). 
  • Demonstrate leadership with the ability to get results through others. 
  • Ability to supervise and oversee employee hiring and retention, performance review and discipline. 
  • Demonstrate ability in problem analysis and resolution. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
