Responsibilities
- Prepare and record general ledger journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts on a regular basis.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Assist with audits, including preparing supporting documentation.
- Help maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. (Trucks and Future Equipment Purchases)
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Prepare financial reports and ad hoc analysis for management.
- Support the implementation and improvement of accounting systems and processes.
Requirements
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or business-related field preferred.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work setting.
- Experience with Viewpoint Vista, Yardi & Procore (preferred, not required).
- Proficient in data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable and vendor payments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills and organizational skills.
Compensation and Benefits for Construction Staff Accountant:
Pay Range: $47,800 - $62,900
Compensation is determined by several factors that vary depending on the position, including the individual’s experience, skills, and the knowledge they bring to the specific role.
