Responsibilities

• Prepare and record general ledger journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts on a regular basis.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
• Assist with audits, including preparing supporting documentation.
• Help maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. (Trucks and Future Equipment Purchases)
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Prepare financial reports and ad hoc analysis for management.
• Support the implementation and improvement of accounting systems and processes.

Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or business-related field preferred. 
• Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work setting.
• Experience with Viewpoint Vista, Yardi & Procore (preferred, not required).
• Proficient in data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable and vendor payments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication skills and organizational skills.

Compensation and Benefits for Construction Staff Accountant:

Pay Range:  $47,800 - $62,900 

Compensation is determined by several factors that vary depending on the position, including the individual’s experience, skills, and the knowledge they bring to the specific role.
