Maintenance Mechanic- DAY SHIFT bei Freshco, LLC

Freshco, LLC, founded in 1996, produces premium juice for Indian River Select as well as other certified organic juice customers.

POSITION SUMMARY 

The DAY SHIFT Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring that the machinery and equipment at the facility run smoothly. You will conduct regular maintenance checks, troubleshoot problems, and perform repairs on equipment as needed. 

Hours: 4AM-4PM

Compensation: $D.O. E/hr.  + Benefits, Target Annual Bonus and Paid Time Off
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and ensure prompt resolution.
• Complete repairs and replacements of defective or worn-out parts.
• Document repair and maintenance activities and keep accurate records.
• Optimize equipment performance through adjustments and calibration.
• Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot machinery and perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Read, interpret, and follow instructions and operation manuals.
• Clean, repair and install equipment and parts as needed.
• Recommend and help implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Provide training and guidance to other maintenance team members and operators when needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Must have 3 yrs. of maintenance mechanical experience.
• Have a good understanding of how mechanical and electrical systems work.
• Comfortable using power tools. Welding equipment a plus.
• Clear communication is extremely important.

 PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT 

• Physical demands: While performing duties of job, incumbent is occasionally required to stand for full shift; walk; sit; use hands, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Work environment: Non A/C work area, the noise level is usually moderate.
