Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Oilfield Field Mechanic to join our Maintenance Organization in Delaware Basin South. This role focuses on maintaining and repairing oilfield production equipment, including compressors, gas-driven generators, vapor recovery units (VRUs), and battery facilities. Unlike traditional automotive or diesel mechanic work, this position supports oilfield production operations, ensuring reliability, environmental compliance, and safe equipment performance. This is a safety sensitive position.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Ensure safe and environmentally compliant operation of all company-owned or rental compressors, gas-driven generators, and VRUs.
• Conduct training and support to verify all shutdowns and safety devices are in place and functional.
• Assist in the preparation, installation, and startup of new emissions control equipment.
• Support and oversee new site construction, including layout, piping, and equipment installation.
• Provide training and guidance to ensure all sites meet or exceed environmental laws, rules, and regulations.
• Monitor, optimize, and maintain existing units to maximize performance and reliability.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, recommend equipment replacements or alternate lifts, and collaborate with operations engineers on changes.
• Develop and maintain tracking tools to analyze performance metrics such as runtime, mechanical availability, fuel consumption, throughput, and environmental compliance.
• Assist lease operators and production foremen with troubleshooting and equipment-related issues.
• Review vendor invoices for accuracy, confirming rates and any performance metric adjustments.
• Perform duties related to the installation and operation of gas engine-driven generators and VRUs.
• Monitor VRU operation and controls to prevent oxygen entry into the system.
• Accurately document all incidents or abnormal operations and report to supervisors.

Required Qualifications:

· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

· Must pass a drug/alcohol test and background check

· Current/valid driver's license

· Field truck, heavy equipment, diesel, light equipment, and automotive experience.

· Physically able to perform the job

· Must have a “safety first” mentality

· 3+ years of operations experience with emissions, compressor operations, maintenance, and repairs

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks for extended periods

· Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain

· Physical tasks include lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working at heights

· The position may require travel to various field locations within the Permian Area, including remote areas

· Must adhere to safety protocols and always wear personal protective equipment (PPE)

· Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

· Must be able to commute to Kermit TX, daily

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary: $28 -$30 (DOE)

Overtime: Eligible for overtime pay after 40 hours per week, as needed
