Shift Availability for Staff Development Coordinator:

  • Part-time
  • Dayshift
  • Some schedule flexibility required due to needs of the facility
  • On-call rotation responsibilities

Responsibilities of Staff Development Coordinator:

Education

  • Develop, organize, and direct all in-service education
  • Responsible for conducting new hire orientation
  • Responsible for attending inter-disciplinary team meetings
  • Assist with additional staff training related to skills competency
  • Participate in Quality Assurance program
  • Provide ongoing staff CPR training

Experience

  • · Must have, as a minimum, two (2) year’s of experience in a nursing care facility.
  • · Must have experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, etc.
  • · Must possess skills in leadership and communication.
  • · Must possess creativity, integrity, and initiative.

Requirements

Qualifications of Staff Development Coordinator  :

  • Current RN license in good standing; required
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, preferred
  • 5 or more years of recent nursing or clinical experience (including management level roles)
  • Current knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to long term care
  • CPR certification
  • Positive interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication and organization skills
