Job Summary
The Billing team is seeking an adaptable and detail-oriented Business Services Intern for Summer 2026. The intern will assist with processing, vendor information, and payments, as well working directly with internal and external customers to provide timely customer service. Join a shared services team and gain exposure to multiple teams with professionals in a cross-functional and collaborative work environment.
This position is full-time onsite/hybrid in Columbus, OH. The application deadline is November 15th, 2025 or until filled.
Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison with internal and external clients to resolve billing disputes and non-payment issues of past due contract billings.
- Review weekly/monthly aging reports and pursue accounts greater than 30 days past due and record conversations related to collection activities or potential disputes.
- Prioritize collection tasks and actively track, monitor and engage with internal and external clients regarding dispute resolution and past due payments.
- Prepare receivable reports and compile documentation for government or regulatory reporting purposes.
- Assist with cash application in identification of daily cash receipts, including working resolution for unidentified cash items received.
- Work with other groups within the Business Services team including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Project Setup and Billing for full end to end process exposure.
Key Qualifications
- Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related major.
- Must have at least two years of college experience at the start of the internship.
- Experience through coursework or practical experience with analysis (i.e. contracts, data, etc.).
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be U.S. Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
- Students with coursework successfully completed in Financial and Managerial Accounting will be given preference.
