Society Insurance is seeking a Summer intern to join our Human Resources team for the Summer of 2025. The intern will support the Human Resources department by assisting with recruitment, onboarding, event coordination, internal communications, and general HR projects.
About the Role
- Assists with the recruitment process which may include, but is not limited to: posting job openings, reviewing candidate information in the applicant tracking system (ATS), assisting with phone interviews, administering candidate assessments, and attending job fairs.
- Supports onboarding and orientation activities, which may include helping facilitate orientation sessions, organizing materials, and coordinating logistics with hiring managers to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Creates internal HR communications and content, such as employee announcements, digital signage, newsletter articles, infographics, and posters.
- Helps plan and coordinate employee events and training sessions, including room scheduling, participant communications, and event logistics.
- Supports HR projects and initiatives by completing assigned tasks, conducting basic research, or helping with document creation and formatting.
- Participates in HR activities related to employee engagement, such as wellness programs, employee appreciation events, and community relations initiatives.
- Provides administrative support by organizing employee files, scanning and uploading documents to the HRIS system, updating position descriptions, ordering educational materials, and maintaining records.
- Contributes to overall Human Resources function by completing a variety of assigned projects with accuracy and timeliness.

What it Will Take
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Full-time junior or senior collegiate status.
- Knowledge of Human Resources topics.
- 3.0 or better cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Completion of at least one HR course highly preferred.
