Job Description:The Medical Education & Professional Relations Manager is responsible for the development and execution of an HCP engagement strategy designed to enhance surgeon education effectiveness through HCP identification, communication, and content execution strategy. This position will also be responsible for the development of a Fellowship and Residency program. All HCP engagements and strategies will be developed in line with compliance regulations and Sunshine Act requirements.
What you will be responsible:
- Develop an HCP engagement strategy and work closely with key healthcare influencers across local, regional and national levels to build and nurture relationships.
- Develop a proactive approach to HCP communication and establish a standardized process for HCP engagement, communication, and follow-up.
- Identify faculty clinical competencies and align with education program needs.
- Develop an annual HCP management process to aid in the identification of new faculty based on annual needs assessments.
- Establishes strong HCP relationships to ensure programs remain on target and within agreed-upon parameters.
- Execute peer-to-peer educational programs such as webinars, hospital programs, conference symposia, and virtual/live roundtables; collaborate with Med Ed Specialists to ensure facilitation of events.
- Establish and manage a national Fellowship and Residency program. Own and manage the program's budget. Assist VP Medical Education and stakeholders with development of program strategies.
- Submits HCP contract requests, ensuring all terms align with FMV and compliance standards, for VP review and approval.
- Manage faculty Sunshine Act reporting requirements and any other compliance requirements needed for HCP engagement. Enter required HCP data into MedCompli to support payment process.
- Lead collaboration with stakeholders to identify professional clinical education needs.
- Proactively manages agendas and content for upcoming medical meetings to identify opportunities for visibility and interactions.
- Measure the effectiveness of educational programs/tools, resources and programs through the collection, analysis, reporting and utilization of data and event feedback. Partner with HCP Process/Systems Manager for data and analysis.
- Assess objective achievement for educational programs and revise/adjust future training programs
- Assist in the management of the allocated budget for education programs and review/approve HCP invoices/payments in a timely manner.
- Provide status reports on professional education programs to management/auditor(s) as requested.
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of combined Professional Education program/event management, Sales & Marketing, or project management experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years collaborating with outside vendors/partners including HCPs is required.
- Availability for domestic travel (25-40% of the time) to support engagements.
- Previous medical device experience in the Orthopedic/Foot & Ankle market space preferred.
- Previous team leadership experience is preferred.
