Day to Day:
• Manage the HR function for the Aggregates Gulf Region which includes operations in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida.
• Develops and administers various Human Resources strategic plans and procedures for all company personnel to include but not limited to Talent Management, Cultural Improvement, Hiring, & Retention.
• Plans, organizes, and directs all activities of the HR Department, including payroll.
• Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
• Counsel and assist employees and all levels of management in employee or management issues relating to promotion, termination, or disciplinary action.
• Responsible for effectively identifying, investigating, and resolving employee relations issues.
• Develop and Implement process and tools that foster open communication and employee engagement and satisfaction.
• Implement positive employee relations processes that support business and employee needs.
• Manage leadership team’s staffing and development requirements.
• Partnering with the leadership team to ensure a complete understanding of human capital needs and objectives.
• Effectively recruit, train, and develop high quality candidates motivated to achieve productivity and business objectives.
• Reviews evaluation of performance and aligns associate objectives to business strategy.
About You:
• 7+ years of progressively responsible generalist experience in all major functional areas of HR, 3 years of which must have been in a manufacturing facility. Previous experience as an HR Manager required.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Industrial Relations, or related field is required.
• Sound working knowledge of applicable state and federal labor and employment law.
• Effective communicator both verbally and written.
• Demonstrates integrity, flexibility, sound judgment and strong critical thinking skills.
