*This position utilizes a hybrid (remote and in-office work) schedule and will require coming into the Austin office. Please note that Wednesdays are core in office days*

Position Purpose:

Oversees, prepares, and maintains general ledger and prepares financial reports; oversees, researches, prepares, analyzes and interprets financial data; and oversees and supports audit activities. 

Essential Responsibilities:

•  Oversees, prepares, reviews, and plans monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts.
• Oversees, creates, prepares, reviews, and plans monthly customer invoicing process, reconciling to contracts, revenue accruals and progress reporting.
•  Oversees, plans, develops and prepares monthly reports, including those that compare budgeted revenues and expenses to actual.
•  Oversees, plans and analyzes costs and variances and reports the results to management staff of the various departments.
•  Oversees, plans and provides technical support, guidance, and research to all departments on contract-related issues, requests for proposals, and statutory, regulatory, and agency requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting or finance 
• Additional experience in accounting or other related areas may be substituted for Bachelor’s degree on a year per year basis. (Experience requirements may be satisfied by full-time experience or the prorated part-time equivalent.)

Certification

• Current Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license

Experience

• Seven (7) years in a lead accountant role
• Graduate or Professional degree in accounting or finance may be substituted for up to two (2) years of experience
• Three (3) years Supervisory
• Auditing, preferred
• Federal Government Contractor, preferred
