THE POSITION

This position’s key responsibilities include:

• Safely operates a vehicle to collect, transport and/or deliver donations, processed merchandise and other materials, as directed.
• Loads and unloads donations from trucks and trailers and moves donations as required.
• Performs daily vehicle maintenance checks and reports any malfunction of truck or equipment to management immediately.
• Ensures daily work requirements are met, maintaining quality and quantity performance, including, but not limited to, stocking vehicles with adequate PPE.
• Processes and submits paperwork as directed and reviews reporting.
• Responsible for following and ensuring all safety rules are complied with and appropriate safety equipment is used.
• Assists other departments within the Agency when needed, such as delays in driving assignments.
• Cleans and sanitizes vehicle.
• Performs other related duties, as assigned.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS (The stuff you must have)

• Must have and maintain a valid New York State Drivers’ License
• Must meet all DOT requirements.
• One (1) year of box truck driving experience is preferred.
• Schedule flexibility.
• Is reliable and consistently comes to work on time and as scheduled.
• Must be able to stand, reach, grasp, twist, and bend on a frequent basis.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry or otherwise move up to fifty (50) pounds with no support regularly.
• If hired, you would be required to attend a full-day orientation at our Administration Office location in Buffalo. 

COMPENSATION: 

Goodwill regularly evaluates our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. Starting pay will be based on a candidate’s experience, skills and education. 

• The pay range for this position is $18/hr -- $20/hr.
