The mission of Community Action Programs Cayuga/Seneca (CAP) is to respectfully assist people to achieve and sustain self-sufficiency through direct services, education, and community partnerships.
CAP is seeking a Central Intake and Resource Specialist. The Central Intake and Resource Specialist serves as the first point of contact for individuals and families seeking assistance. This role provides intake, assessment, referrals, and direct services while supporting Agency programs such as the food pantry. The Specialist ensures accurate record-keeping, resource coordination, and professional communication to deliver compassionate, client-centered support.
The Central Intake and Resource Specialist must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- High School Diploma with 1–3 years of experience in case management, social services, or a related field. Associates degree preferred.
- Experience providing services to low-income individuals and families.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to handle emotionally challenging situations with compassion and patience.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $20.41 per hour, scheduled 35 hours per week.
