Director, Construction bei Brownsville Independent School District

REQUIRED:

• Master's Degre; and
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in a combination of building construction, construction management, engineering, maintenance, facility planning and/or site acquisition

PREFERRED:

• Experience with construction specifications and contracts, plans examination and construction
• Working knowledge of building, fire and other codes and laws having jurisdiction over construction of educational facilities within a school district;
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; and
• Bilingual (English and Spanish).

The role of the Director, Construction is to provide administrative expertise and knowledge of construction, energy management, and building maintenance that will provide for a smoothly functioning district program of renovation, facility planning, construction projects, constructions scheduling, estimating and reporting progress to central administration. The Director of Construction is to assume responsibility for inspecting construction projects, interacting with architects, engineers and contractors, campus staff, maintenance staff and central office staff.
