The International Director of Marketing will lead global brand and marketing strategies to expand Squishmallows in key markets. This role drives awareness, engagement, and sales while aligning with franchise goals. Partnering with leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners, they’ll execute impactful campaigns, scale global strategies, and adapt for local relevance to deliver measurable results.

The ideal candidate is an experienced, high-performing leader with a proven track record in global brand building and storytelling, strategy execution, marketing operations and cross-functional collaboration. 

 

What You Will Do: 

  • Through strategic brand building and storytelling, ensure the global franchise vision comes to life across all key international markets, driving the success and growth of the Squishmallows franchise globally. 
  • Continue to grow our global and multigenerational fanbase using country-specific marketing tactics and strategies. Social, Influencer, Digital, Linear and Experiential.
  • Work with leadership and cross-functional teams to shape a globally informed brand strategy that cascades into market-specific plans—covering objectives, KPIs, budgeting, GTM strategy, and execution.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of global brand and marketing strategies, working in partnership with leadership to refine and optimize performance and efficiency
  • Stay ahead of global and country specific industry trends, market shifts, and competitor activities to ensure brand and marketing strategies are fresh and relevant.
  • Ability to embrace change, establish process and lead with confidence, managing multiple projects and timelines while driving growth across multiple markets.
  • Foster collaboration and streamline workflows and communication cross key cross-functional teams.
  • Work alongside cross-functional departments leads to ensure cohesive brand planning, creative excellence, and integrated marketing execution, adapting and optimizing for local markets.
  • In partnership with executive leadership and department heads, lead the development and execution of the marketing strategy across key global markets, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and brand vision.
  • Develop and oversee best-in-class integrated marketing strategies from concept to launch, driving brand awareness and fan service initiatives across non-US markets. 
  • Deliver measurable results across all marketing campaigns including but not limited to: franchise pillar campaigns, cultural initiatives, events/activations, paid media, social media and influencer marketing.
  • Use data insights to continuously optimize global brand and marketing initiatives.
  • Partner with Finance and Brand leadership to manage budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure the successful execution of campaigns across regions.
  • Continuously identify and unlock synergies across global marketing activities, vendors and team operations

  • This position will be responsible for all aspects of talent management for their team. This role is responsible for building strong relationships, promoting collaboration, and helping their team grow and develop.

What You Will Do: 

  • 12+ years in strategic brand strategy and/or marketing planning in a global organization.
  • 5+ years in a senior leadership role, managing high-performing teams and overseeing complex global marketing operations.
  • Experience in the toy, entertainment, or consumer products categories is a must.
  • Strong strategic thinker with the ability to translate high-level strategy into actionable brand/marketing initiatives across a number of territories.
  • Deep understanding of how to connect brand identity, creative platforms, product storytelling, and marketing investment.
  • Expertise in global marketing operations, process optimization, and budget management.
  • Deeply attuned to global and cultural nuance, it demonstrates sensitivity to regional context and consumer behavior
  • Proficient in digital marketing, e-commerce, and omnichannel strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Proficiency in market research, insights application, and data-driven planning
  • Familiarity with global content distribution, media business models, and content licensing a plus.
  • International market experience in Canada, Mexico, Brazil, the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Australia, UAE, APAC, LATAM, or similar.

The salary range for this position is $167,040.00 $212,160.00/Yr. Base salary may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, location. Eligibility for annual performance incentive may apply. Jazwares is a multi-state employer, salary range may not apply to other states.
