Material Handler bei Bay Industries Inc

Description

The Material Handler loads, unloads, and moves material to ensure production flow. Reads work order and/or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials to be moved.

Responsibilities: 

• Load and unload products from trailers using forklift trucks and other material handling equipment.
• Store the products in proper places in warehouse.
• Transport products to and from warehouse storage and production.
• Deliver products to various areas in safely and timely manner.
• Move and load hazardous wastes under direction of supervisor.
• Clean work area and equipment regularly by removing empty pallets, wood, and plastic.
• Follow company standards and legal regulations to ensure safe and positive work atmosphere.
• Maintain forklift equipment by troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance.
• Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following stock control instructions.
• Checking loads are secure stacking empty pallets performing daily equipment checks.
• Helps with production as needed.
• Will be required to perform all other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in using a forklift in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
