Description
Western Container Hattiesburg is looking for a full time Blow Mold Technical Manager to join our team and begin unbottling their potential today! Since 1979 WCC has been producing high quality PET preforms and bottles for the Coca-Colas system.
As the Blow Mold Technical Manager, you'll play a vital role in overseeing Blow Mold operations, day and shift maintenance. You will be responsible for driving efficiency, improving preventative maintenance practices and developing the technical skills of our team.
In this position, you will:
- Lead and develop the maintenance team members.
- Support the annual Blow Mold department budget.
- Oversee plant shut downs, capital projects and project installations.
- Manage work orders and spare parts inventory.
- Control maintenance costs while ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
- Step in to support production scheduling as needed.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Job responsibilities include leading and directing Blow Mold shift and day maintenance, Plant Programmer and Systems team members to improve our efficiency and quality, monitoring and improving our preventative maintenance practices and evaluating and improving the technical skills of our members. Additional responsibilities include management of work order system, control of maintenance costs within our budget and ensuring adequate spare parts inventory. Will assist in production scheduling when Blow Mold Production Manager is out of the office.
Experience/Education Needed:
Prefer degree with at least three years experience in a technical leadership position in a high speed automated manufacturing plant. Prefer some hands-on maintenance experience on blow molding equipment. We will consider individuals with bachelor’s degree in related field with an aptitude for leading others.
Key Requirements:
· Solid understanding of Blow Mold, Systems and facilities maintenance functions with ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and equipment manuals
· Knowledge of maintenance control systems relating to planning, scheduling, workload, productivity, efficiency factors and organizational structure
· Ability to foster a strong work ethic in an environment built on teamwork and continuous improvement
· Willingness to ensure a safe environment for all members by promoting safety awareness through training and feedback of safe working techniques and housekeeping practices
· Ability to communicate professionally verbally and written
· Ability to analyze data to plan, organize, and control multiple priorities
· Basic computer skills
