Weekly Work Schedule Summer Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:00am to 4:30pm.

2026 ALCIVIA Internship Program Dates: May 18, 2026 through August 7, 2026.

• There is the potential to start earlier than May 18th and potential to work past August 7th.

Dairy Feed Sales Intern Essential Responsibilities:

The Dairy Feed Sales Internship at ALCIVIA is designed to provide the intern with education through real life experiences in feed production, nutrition sales, and feed formulation/commodities. During this Internship, you will receive hands-on and real-life work experiences within operations/production, in-office, and on-farm.

• Dairy Feed Sales: Job shadow/ride-alongs with experienced Dairy Nutritionists and Dairy Feed Sales Reps. Witness multiple Nutritionists sell/consult at the farm gate with the end goal of selling products and programs and growing sales and market share. Conduct surveys or collecting data with Animal Nutrition customers/members. Attend Sales training sessions or company outings with the Sales Team.
• Feed Production: Assist with production tasks at our Feed Mill including: manufacture, inspect, test, receive, mix, package, and load animal feed related products in preparation for delivery to members. Precisely weighing up feed ingredients and medications, while learning other important aspects of the feed mill. Assist with monitoring inventories to ensure proper ingredients are on hand for mixing
• Feed Formulation and Commodities: Assist with daily formulation activities as well as provide technical expertise for nutrient optimization between the sales and formulation functions. Support sales and operational functions with small ruminant nutrition, poultry, swine, and other species as required. Shadow the Commodities Team to gain knowledge and experience on the supply chain opportunities within the Animal Nutrition Division.
• Supports a team-oriented environment by interacting in a professional, collaborative, and respectful manner with all employees, clients, customers and/or vendors.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing expert advice on products and services.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by offering timely and effective solutions to meet their needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on product offerings and sales techniques.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Dairy Feed Sales Intern Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Working toward Bachelors or Associates Degree in or related to the Dairy Nutrition field
• Candidate should understand dairy animal husbandry, and general industry knowledge
• Work/life experience in management and care of dairy animals
• Must have valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation to work
• Strong computer and technology skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Strong enthusiasm for building internal and external relationships
• Embrace goals and goal setting to grow your career
• Self-directed and focuses on taking action
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Accept responsibility while maintaining integrity
