As the Paint Operations Manager you will supervise a crew of leads and technicians in the paint area. Assures that technicians are held accountable for the quality of the maintenance work that they perform. Appraises, recommends salary and other status changes, rewards, recognizes, and disciplines members of the crew.
 

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
•    Direct daily aircraft painting operations, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation across multiple shifts.
•    Manage workflow from surface preparation through final inspection, ensuring efficiency and adherence to StandardAero standards.
•    Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Program Management teams to meet or exceed customer commitments.
People Leadership
•    Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, painters, and support staff to build a high-performing team.
•    Champion StandardAero’s culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
•    Support training and development programs to strengthen technical expertise and career growth.
Safety & Compliance
•    Ensure strict adherence to FAA, OSHA, EPA, and StandardAero safety and environmental standards.
•    Maintain compliance with hazardous material handling, waste management, and PPE requirements.
•    Partner with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to proactively assess risks and prevent incidents.
Quality & Customer Focus
•    Deliver high-quality aircraft finishes that meet customer specifications and StandardAero quality standards.
•    Resolve technical issues with cross-functional partners, driving corrective actions where needed.
•    Act as a customer-facing leader when required, providing updates and ensuring satisfaction.
Financial & Continuous Improvement
•    Manage departmental budgets, labor efficiency, and material usage to meet cost targets.
•    Identify and implement process improvements to reduce rework, cycle time, and waste.
•    Support StandardAero’s operational excellence initiatives through Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
•    5+ years of progressive leadership in aircraft paint or coatings operations, preferably within an FAA Part 145 MRO environment.
•    Proven track record of managing people, processes, and projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven shop.
•    Strong knowledge of aircraft paint systems, coatings, and application methods.
•    Working knowledge of FAA, OSHA, and EPA regulatory requirements.
•    Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

PREFERRED:
•    Prior experience with corporate aircraft preferred but not required.


THIS POSITION IS ELIGIBLE FOR A $20,000 SIGN ON BONUS
Salary: $95,000 - $130,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, StandardAero considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
