Job Title: TERRAIN PARK ATTENDANT Level I
Rate of Pay: $16.50 /hr
Shift: Day shift: 9 am - 4 pm; Night Shift: 4 pm - 9pm
Full-time: minimum of 4 days a week, occasional Sundays required
Part-time: minimum of 2 days a week, Saturdays, occasional Sundays required
MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS & HOLIDAYS
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly
SUMMARY
Sundance Mountain Resort is looking for skiers and snowboarders passionate about terrain park! We take pride in creating fun and inviting features to add to the unique experience only found at our resort. Attendants maintain the terrain features in the freestyle park and other locations where applicable. Attendants act as hosts on the mountain in regard to crowd supervision, safety awareness, education, freestyle terrain etiquette, and guest relations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install and maintain terrain park signage, closures, fencing, and banner tape.
- Fill out daily terrain park logs.
- Open and close terrain park daily. (Set up and take down entrance gates)
- Maintain ongoing monitoring of terrain park features and equipment.
- Rebuild takeoffs of each feature upon closure of Terrain Park.
- Manually test and visually inspect each feature in the terrain park.
- Mitigate risk by grooming entrance and exit ramps and de-burring features.
- Communicate via radio with ski patrol when incidents occur and close access to park features to guests until the incident is cleared.
- Communicate professionally with guests.
- Demonstrate attention to detail.
- Pick up and manage trash and recycling found in Terrain park boundaries, and other areas of the mountain.
- Knowledge and experience of how to ride terrain park features.
- Basic understanding of terrain park flow and design.
- Ensure aesthetic appeal and cleanliness of the terrain park.
- Provide an energetic and positive experience for guests on the mountain.
QUALIFICATIONS

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Applicant MUST be a competent skier or snowboarder - able to confidently and consistently ride terrain park features successfully, as well as ride or ski while carrying hand tools.
- Able to use 2-way radios to communicate emergencies and receive alerts and updates from ski patrol.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk/hike; use hands to shovel and rake snow; reach with arms and hands; climb or balance, and regularly talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, and/or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
