Job Description:The primary function of the Warehouse Manager is to oversee Sika Corporation’s distribution center in Davenport, FL. Key priorities include customer satisfaction, cost management and driving continuous improvement in each of our priorities of safety, quality, on-time shipping, and productivity. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Senior Director, Warehouse Operations, and may include other activities as assigned.
- Participate in Sika’s safety and housekeeping programs.
- Oversee the activities of the warehouse by monitoring shipping, receiving, and inventory while make recommendations to improve the processes.
- Work closely with Customer Service and Supply Chain representatives to respond in a timely manner to shipment inaccuracies and helping correct those issues.
- Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and performance.
- Supervise activities by working closely with the warehouse staff to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.
- Use digital and transactional warehouse processes and reports to make operational decisions.
- Monitor inventory processes to ensure accuracy and investigate and correct inventory discrepancies.
- Work directly with the warehouse team to keep the warehouse organized with a high inventory accuracy level. Monitor aged inventory and obsolete material in the warehouse and minimize the financial impact.
- Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and safety regulations within the facility.
- Supervise and prioritize activities as required to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.
- Ensure the completion of all daily receiving deliveries (physical and transactional). Report and initiate correction immediately with any kind of deviation.
- Ensure all inventory transactions are completed goods and properly stored in an accurate and timely manner, investigate and correct inventory discrepancies immediately.
- Supply in a timely manner and apply the First Expired, First Out (FEFO) principle.
- Lead training and development of the warehouse staff. Discipline, if necessary, following established procedures.
- Monitor and provide guidance for the efficient and effective use of local Sika Commercial truck drivers.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or business management.
- 5+ years experience in warehouse operations management.
