General Description: King George Middle School seeks a highly organized and collaborative professional to serve as a Teacher on Administrative Assignment/Coordinator of School Testing. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the effective administration of all standardized assessments, supporting grade-level operations, and promoting student success. This individual serves as an extension of the school's administrative team and provides leadership in key school-wide initiatives.
- Serves as the point of contact between the school and the Division Coordinator of Testing.
- Oversees the effective organization and implementation of SOL testing and all required standardized assessments.
- Analyzes data and works with the schools’ administration and faculty in understanding assessment data
- Possesses strong organizational skills and the ability to oversee/supervise the effective implementation of required state and division assessments
- Assists in planning and facilitating professional development
- Provides support and feedback to novice and developing teachers
- Assists administration with setting student expectations and grade-level discipline
- Assist with grade-level committee administration, supporting collaboration and school-based teams
- Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with students, parents. school administration, teachers, central office staff, and the community
- Assists school administration in a variety of functions as needed and directed by the principal
- Performs related work as required
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience at the secondary level
Middle School experience preferred
Must hold or be eligible for a VA Teaching License
Master's degree and endorsement in Administration and Supervision preferred

Educational Supplements:
Master's: +7% of base salary
BA + 15: $750
Teacher National Board Certification: $2000
Doctorate: $2000
