Forest Hills Country Club is ideally located in the prestigious suburb of Clarkson Valley in the greater Chesterfield area. The Club is over 55 years old and for years has been recognized as the premier private Country Club in the West St. Louis area. Members enjoy world-class golf and amenities within a friendly and inviting atmosphere. Known as “The Family Club of Choice,” the membership at Forest Hills Country Club is active and engaged, offering an exclusive private club lifestyle with family friendly programs, including a state-of-the-art aquatic center with multiple pools and waterpark features situated by the pool/cabana bar. The Club features four hard surface tennis courts, along with two Har Tru clay courts, and new tennis facility and new pickleball courts.

Forest Hills Country Club has both an 18-hole course, “The Championship” and a nine hole course, “The Valley”. The Championship course has been recently fine-tuned with bentgrass, advanced drainage systems and pristine white sand bunkers. The Valley course is perfect for beginners; those who want a practice area to perfect their game or golfers wanting to play a quick round.


POSITION SPECIFIC:

Forest Hills is looking for a line cook from a private club or high-volume upscale hospitality environment who has diverse experience multiple outlets, banquets and a la carte operations. It will be important as a high energy team player. The line cook will be a team player who is alwasy looking for ways to exceed member expectations. This individual must have a good attitude who appreciates the details of various cuisines and exceptional service

Cook Responsibilities

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Cook Skills

  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices
  • Culinary school diploma
