The Learning Manager supports the development and delivery of learning solutions that align with the Temple Department’s strategic priorities. This role includes managing a team of learning designers, coordinating with stakeholders, and development of training materials for diverse audiences.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Ensure standards of practice and professional rigor of the learning function
- Execute a comprehensive and innovative learning and design strategy that supports Temple Department's goals
- Collaborate with senior leaders to identify and prioritize training initiatives
- Lead and mentor a team of learning professionals to ensure high-quality output and continuous professional development
- Ensure materials are culturally relevant and accessible
- Collaborate with internal department leaders, subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure trainers are well-prepared to deliver training effectively and appropriately
- Assign team members to specific Audience projects that will advance the progress of Temple Department initiatives
- Ensure consistent messaging among team members working on various Audience assignments
- Manage special projects and initiatives as directed by senior leadership. Ensure timely and successful completion of projects
- Ensure learning experiences and materials are evaluated and meet the highest standards of quality and effectiveness
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10 years of experience in instructional design or related field, with at least 5 years of management experience.
- Proven experience in instructional design and the development of scalable, technology-based learning solutions.
- Strong background in creating and evaluating the effectiveness of learning experiences.
- Expertise in audience research and data analysis to inform content development.
- Exceptional written, oral, and presentation communication skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of the impact of diverse global cultures on training effectiveness and learning styles.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-service focused.
Preferred:
- Master’s Degree
Familiarity with Church policy, administration, and appropriate tone in Church-related training materials and communication style is preferred.
