We are seeking a dedicated Guest Service Associate - Food & Beverage Service to join our team in Visakhapatnam, India. As a key member of our food and beverage department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests through attentive service and efficient operations.
- Greet and seat guests, providing menus and answering questions about food and beverages
- Take accurate food and drink orders, communicating effectively with kitchen staff
- Serve meals and beverages in a timely and professional manner
- Process payments and handle cash and credit card transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including table setup and reset
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP regulations
- Assist in restocking supplies and maintaining inventory
- Stay informed about menu items, daily specials, and any changes in offerings
- Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance service quality
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management
- Proven experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Excellent communication abilities in English, both verbal and written
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a collaborative attitude
- Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques and etiquette
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures
- Basic math skills for processing transactions and handling bills
- Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry trays and equipment up to 25 pounds
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of HACCP regulations and food safety practices
- Awareness of safety and emergency procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in food service are a plus
