Eurofins PSS is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Potency Assay development team. The primary responsibilities of the succesful candidate would be to work, under moderate supervision, in a highly collaborative fast-paced environment to provide lab support in the Potency Assay department. The Potency team is responsible for the development, qualification and implementation of cell-based assays, binding assays and other methods to support the characterization of therapeutics in our client's pipeline.

The candidate will work with the manager in performing and developing cell-based assays to support sample testing. The candidate will also be involved in helping to develop and implement novel assays, such as binding assays and ELISAs when appropriate, in both GLP and non-GLP environments. They will compile data from development and sample testing activities in electronic laboratory notebooks, create summaries, and analyze data, which they may present at group or department meetings. Activities will also include various lab support duties, including, but not limited to buffer preparation, cleaning and general stocking of consumable items.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Record accurate, clear, and complete experimental data and methods
• Interpret data and recognize errors or unusual results when they occur
• Summarize experimental results and present to lab group
• Function independently, as well as actively participate in team responsibilities
• Perform experiments that are routine in nature and troubleshoot studies with supervision
• Manage semi-routine tasks independently
• Help maintain a clean, organized and fully stocked laboratory
• Assist as a contact for EHS and Lab Safety interactions and compliance activities
• Perform various assays, including cell-based assays & ELISA/Binding assays
• Aid in the development and qualification of cell-based assays or binding assays

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

• BS in Bioengineering, Biology, or related field
• 2+ years in a laboratory industry setting
• Must have experience in multi-channel pipetting
• Must have industry experience with aseptic technique, cell culture, and bioassays, particularly cell-based & binding assays is highly desirable
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous laboratory experience in a development or GLP or QC setting is desirable
