Quality Laboratory Technician bei Spectra Tech

Spectra Tech is looking for a Quality Laboratory Technician for West Memphis, AR. 

Job Description:

The Quality Laboratory Technician will perform routine and non-routine tests on in-process samples, finished products, ingredients and manufacturing supplies.

Essential Job Functions:

· Perform special tests and projects related to the operation as required

· Use, maintain, troubleshoot, and do minor repairs on standard laboratory apparatus for performing routine and non-routine analyses

· Perform analysis utilizing HPLC, pH, Brix, etc.

· Compare test results and disseminate information as required

· Input data into computer for the purpose of maintaining a permanent record of all finished analyses, out-of-specification report, and end of month report

· Compare test results with current specifications and advise supervisory and production personnel of problems and/or out-of-code situations. Make recommendations as to cause and resolution of problem · Evaluate results and independently ensure accuracy before alerting supervisory and production personnel

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED- required Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field preferred

Experience Level:

· 2-3 years related work experience preferred 

· Ability to read, write and speak fluent English 

· Basic computer skills · Basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages 

· Ability to interpret graphs and read measurements
