Join our team at Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD) as an Office Assistant, where your passion for exceptional customer service will shine!

We are actively seeking dedicated, self-directed staff committed to providing outstanding customer experiences at our facilities. As an Office Assistant, you’ll be the main point of contact for patrons, affiliates, and partners, fostering a welcoming and inclusive community environment. You’ll also provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of THPRD facilities, enhancing overall community experiences through exceptional customer service.


Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Greet the public in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring positive experiences both in person and over the phone. Provide information and assistance regarding schedules, program descriptions, and general district information.
  • Answer telephone calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel, taking accurate messages as needed.
  • Provide clerical support, including data entry, preparing and proofreading forms, letters, flyers, and promotional materials.
  • Supporting program enrollment, registration, and payment processing, generating reports as required.


Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Knowledge and experience in office management principles, which you can effectively apply to work-related problem-solving.
  • A strong commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all patrons and stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of relevant software and computer operations, particularly Office 365 platforms such as Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • The ability to learn and utilize proprietary patron registration software is also essential.


Scheduling

THPRD is hiring for multiple positions to support various facilities, offering part-time roles with flexible working hours (less than 1,560 hours per year).

We are currently accepting applications for the following shifts:

  • 1:45 PM – 7:30 PM, Wednesday – Thursday
  • 4:15 PM – 9:45 PM, Friday 
  • 7:45 AM – 2:45 PM & 11 AM – 4 PM, Saturday
