Lead Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will take the lead on maintaining the safety, functionality, and overall upkeep of our facilities. This position blends hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring our buildings and systems are well cared for while supporting and guiding our maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities
Perform drywall repair, including installation, mudding, taping, texturing, and painting.
Complete plumbing repairs and installations (sinks, P-traps, toilets, shower components).
Carry out carpentry tasks such as cabinet installation, repairs, and trim work.
Perform electrical repairs and installations, including outlets, switches, and ceiling fans.
Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently across building systems.
Oversee and assist with routine and preventative maintenance, as well as emergency repairs.
Lead, train, and guide maintenance staff; assign tasks and ensure timely completion.
Inspect facilities regularly and respond promptly to service requests.
Maintain tools, supplies, and parts inventory.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
Communicate clearly and professionally with residents, staff, and leadership.
Collaborate with management to prioritize projects and recommend improvements.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications a plus.
3–5 years of experience in maintenance, repair, or a related trade required.
Strong knowledge of drywall repair, finishing, and painting.
Proficient in plumbing fixture replacement and troubleshooting.
Skilled in carpentry (cabinets, doors, trim work).
Basic electrical knowledge, including small installations and replacements.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied environments.
