We are hiring a Senior Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to a high-impact healthcare transformation initiative. This project is redefining how healthcare is paid for, delivered, and experienced—eliminating surprise bills, improving care quality, and reducing costs.

Responsibilities: 

  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning across healthcare business units.
  • Develop creative solutions for data ingestion, transformation, and modeling of healthcare datasets, including medical claims and insurance eligibility.
  • Collaborate with analytics engineers, data scientists, and software developers to deliver reusable, well-documented datasets and infrastructure.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of next-generation data infrastructure in Microsoft Azure, including evaluating and upgrading the data warehouse stack.
  • Ensure data quality, compliance (including HIPAA), and performance across all systems.
  • Support automation initiatives to reduce manual tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Explore and apply AI productivity tools to enhance data engineering workflows.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience in data engineering, with a strong grasp of engineering best practices and data product ownership.
  • Proficiency in Python (or Ruby)PostgreSQLDocker, and familiarity with Bash scripting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and optionally AWS tools such as Athena, Lambda, and Glue.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture principles, data quality, and scalable system design.
  • Experience working in healthcare or other highly regulated industries.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to adopting new technologies, especially in the realm of AI and automation.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • US Citizenship is required for this position.
