Role Description
Your Role:
Lead the patient advocacy strategy as part of the US Marketing team, ensuring alignment with overall business and therapeutic goals. Focus on enhancing awareness, trust, and collaboration with patient communities primarily within dermatology to shape initiatives that meet both company values and patient needs.
Your Responsibilities:

Develop and implement patient advocacy strategies aligned with the company’s commercial and corporate objectives.

Convey a clear understanding of trends in dermatology amongst key patient and professional organizations; identify and create opportunities for LEO to align, including increasing patient awareness and education, enabling earlier diagnosis, and supporting access to therapies

Build and maintain relationships with patient advocacy groups, organizations, and relevant stakeholders in the US dermatology space.

Build cross-functional collaborations with internal partners to develop and execute stakeholder engagement plans to ensure alignment and effective execution of a patient advocacy strategy

Communicate insights learned from the patient community and serve as an internal consultant to champion and incorporate patient perspectives into all appropriate initiatives

Partner with internal teams including compliance, legal, and regulatory to ensure all advocacy activities adhere to guidelines and best practices.

Manage the patient advocacy budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to meet strategic goals.

Represent the company at sponsored events, conferences, and public forums to enhance visibility in the advocacy landscape.

Completing all company-based and job-related training as assigned by LEO Pharma within the required timelines

Your Qualifications:

Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s or relevant advanced degree in Marketing, Public Health, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in patient advocacy, strategic marketing, or patient engagement, preferable with exposure to dermatology or pharmaceutical industries.

Significant experience in outreach and patient advocacy, and knowledge of public policy, government affairs, and local regulations affecting LEO’s business

Understanding of key trends affecting patient engagement and current forms of patient interactions (e.g., social media and online communities);

Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization.

Proven track record in fostering collaboration and building trust with patient communities.

Strong project management, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills. Ability to travel domestically and internationally (will include overnight travel), 20% or more.
The base salary range for this position is $205, 000 - $255,000 per year. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the LEO Pharma range for this position. Salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
