Salary offers will be made within the posted range. Placement within the range will be determined based on your similar work experience. The Port considers work experience to be similar if the scope and level of responsibility of your prior positions match the job being offered.


As an Information Security Resiliency Analyst, you will work to support and advance Information Security resiliency. You will liaison with various Port and external businesses to advance Information Security resiliency, establishing and maintaining disaster recovery procedures and ensuring continuity of business operations.

  • You will develop, implement, and maintain cyber resilience strategies, including disaster recovery plans, business continuity protocols, and incident response procedures. 
  • You will participate in the coordination and execution of business impact analyses and make recommendations for mitigating impacts that would adversely affect business continuity during and after disruptive events.
  • You will participate in regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities within the IT infrastructure, applications, and data. 
  • You will assist in crafting security policies that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. You will also ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, etc.
  • You will lead Security Education, Training, & Awareness (SETA) efforts and promote a culture of security awareness by conducting training exercises, workshops, and simulations for staff at all levels to enhance their understanding of cyber risks and response strategies. 
  • You will work closely with Information Security (IS) and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) teams, internal business units, and external partners to ensure a cohesive security strategy across the organization.
  • You will proactively analyze threat intelligence to understand evolving cyber threats. You will also share threat intelligence information with internal and external collaborators to enhance security and threat prevention efforts.
  • You will recommend and participate in the implementation of security technologies, protocols, and best practices to bolster resilience. You will also prepare detailed reports on security posture, incident statistics, and resilience metrics for senior management and compliance purposes.

  • Experienced – You have four (4) years of experience in information security strategy, resilience scoping and planning, conducting business impact analysis (BIA), supporting continuity of operations (COOP), and/or contributing to the implementation or support of organizational resiliency programs.
  • Certifications – You have an Active Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) Awareness Training and Certification (Can be achieved at the time of hire). 
  • Desired – We hope you have a bachelor’s degree in business administration. We hope you have a CompTIA Security+ Certification or a CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst Certification.

  • Analytical Problem - Solver – You have strong analytical and planning skills and can use critical thinking, logic and reasoning to evaluate strengths and weaknesses to identify the most appropriate solution.

  • Work Schedule – Your normal work schedule will be Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week). Slightly more flexible start and end times are available in this role. You may be required to work any and all assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays. You may be required to work during emergencies.
  • Work Environment - This work will take place in a hybrid/in-office setting at Management’s discretion.
  • Washington State Residency Requirement – Employees must establish a residence in Washington state within 30 days of their first day of employment and must maintain a residence in Washington State during their employment with the Port of Seattle. If a position is eligible to telework, work performed while teleworking must be performed in Washington State.
  • Security Requirements – As the successful candidate, you must pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check as well as a criminal history background check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Your employment will be contingent upon obtaining a Port of Seattle ID badge upon clearance.
  • Security Requirements – In this role, you will be required to access Port of Seattle Police Department equipment, office locations, systems and/or vehicles. In compliance with Federal and State laws as the successful candidate, you will be required to pass a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) criminal history background check.
