Job Summary

The EE Compliance Monitoring Coach will review Individual Education Programs (IEP) utilizing the TN State Instructionally Appropriate Individual Education Program (IAIEP) Rubric and provide feedback to school and EE teams. In addition, this position will assist with Tennessee Department Of Education IEP Monitoring.

What you will do
  • Responsible for the development of legally defensible and compliant IEPs utilizing the TN State Instructionally Appropriate Individual Education Program (IAIEP) Rubric.
  • Provide Feedback on IEPs and assessment reports, ensuring the correction of any errors and providing instructions for improvement to schools and EE teams as needed.
  • Assist TN Department of Education in ensuring compliance monitoring of the IEP process as well as report on monitor data on progress reporting on IEP goals.
  • Build school level capacity of developing instructionally appropriate IEPs.
  • Utilize the Tennessee Department of Education’s IAIEP rubric will review IEPs and provide feedback.
  • Engage in a continuous improvement cycle for Instructionally appropriate IEPs.
  • Input information from monitoring tools in a data management system.
  • Ensure alignment of IEP services with deficit areas to better outcomes for students.
  • Collaborate with schools to prepare for TDOE IEP Monitoring.
  • Assist school teams and EE Coaches in preparing for TDOE Monitoring on IEPs.
  • Ensure all required signed documents are appropriately uploaded into EASY IEP.
Education Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in area of exceptional education Preferred
Experience Qualifications
  • Experience in administering and interpreting educational assessments Required
Skills and Abilities
  • Highly developed communications skills (written/verbal)
  • Results/action-orientation; project management skills
  • Able to successfully navigate within varying degrees of ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong strategic analysis skills
  • Must have working knowledge of the requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act
  • Ability to work collaboratively with IEP teams and District administration
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, maintain confidentiality, and support District goals and objectives and implementation of staff training.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Certified in exceptional education in Tennessee Required
Equivalency
Starting At: $52,048.58

Salaries are determined by factors relevant to the position which may include education, experience, and other qualifications. Final compensation decisions are made at the discretion of MNPS in alignment with organizational policies and procedures. The stated salary range for certificated teaching positions is calculated based on 201 days and should be viewed as a reference. All provided salary ranges serve as a general guideline.
