Burke - Production Laborer 2nd shift bei JOTS - LP

The selected candidate will be assigned to a department and schedule based on operational needs at the time of hire. Final placement will be determined during the onboarding process. 

2nd Shift: Monday thru Friday, +Weekends as Production Scheduled Requires                                                                                                                                               Pay: $21.34 per hour, +$1.00 Shift Differential 

Grindroom Laborer (1pm to 10:30pm)

• Supplies meat to the Grindroom from the meat receiving coolers via palletjack
• Inspects product
• Grinds meat
• Removes pallets and trash from the Grindroom
• Operates a metal detector belt and auger

Packroom Laborer(1:30pm to 11pm)

• Performing repetitive tasks associated with the packaging of meat product
  • Work stations include: Inspecting product quality, assembling boxes, filling bags with meat, sealing bags, weighing bags and may have to stack boxes on pallets
• Assist with the coordination and running of a food processing line

All team members must abide by all of Burke’s plant safety rules!

Requirements of the production team member include:

• Ability to learn and perform multiple positions (Training will be provided)
• Work in temperatures 40–50 degrees and 32 degrees in the cooler
• Being able to operate an electric pallet jack (In-house training provided)
• Ability to work in an environment that is fast paced
• Being able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to do repetitive tasks
• Standing, walking, pushing, lifting, bending, stepping up and down
• Operating food processing equipment
• Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
• Fill in for other plant positions as necessary (Additional pay provided for higher pay grade position)
• Basic Math skills
• Perform any and all duties as assigned by Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 18 years or older
• 6 months of work history
