We are seeking an experienced Sr. Accounts Receivable and Credit Manager at our Minneapolis MN. headquarters to bring clarity, direction, and accountability to our credit, collections, and cash application functions. This role is critical to improving our cash cycle and reducing DSO while providing the leadership and structure the team needs to thrive. The Senior AR & Credit Manager will set clear expectations, streamline processes, and transform AR into a strategic driver of business performance.

This position has routine interaction with the CFO, offering visibility and the opportunity to shape decisions that directly impact the company’s financial health.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on leadership to the AR team, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and priorities.
  • Redefine credit and collections strategy to improve cash flow and reduce DSO.
  • Build a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and collaboration across Finance, Sales, and Operations.
  • Establish and enforce credit policies that balance growth and risk.
  • Drive process improvements and introduce tools/automation to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Deliver transparent reporting on AR performance and cash cycle metrics to senior leadership and the CFO.
  • Calculate and make recommendations for monthly bad debt reserve calculation.
  • Act as a trusted partner to Finance leadership, contributing insights on cash forecasting and working capital.
  • System administrator for financial side of Advertising ERP
  • Act as escalation contact for troubled accounts and issues that require more senior leadership to address with customer and sales.
  • Manage accounts to be written off due to non-payment and placement with outside agencies when appropriate.
  • Create SOPs and cross training within the department so there are road maps and succession strategies.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of AR/credit/collections experience, with successive leadership responsibility.
  • Proven success in reducing DSO and improving cash cycle performance.
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to define roles, set direction, and develop talent.
  • Process improvement mindset with experience implementing scalable practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across functions, with comfort interacting at the C-suite level.

Compensation Range: 

Annual compensation for this position ranges from $102,600 – $131,200. 

Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
