Summary
This position provides the actual product data used in making quality determination by performing various chemical and physical testing on in all areas. This position maintains accurate records of the testing in a manner consistent with safety, quality and production goals.
Key Responsibilities
This position reports to the QA Team Leader and Shift Manager along with all other Quality Assurance personnel on the shift. This position will require minimal supervision and will be responsible to complete job assignments from inception to completion.
- The individual in this position will be required to understand the purpose and product testing procedures for all grading, including specialty products, in the Quality Assurance Lab
- They must have the ability to make decisions based on sound judgment when a situation dictates
- It is imperative the person conduct him/ herself in a manner that ensures alertness and constant awareness of the safe operation of equipment and its surroundings.
- The individual in this position will accomplish these tasks by utilizing a team concept through working with team members and following direction and instructions from a team leader or coordinator.
- Work relationships and communications are key to the success of the individual holding this position.
- Will be required to assist in training new employees in the Quality Assurance Department.
Overtime requirements in this position are common and may be required to meet operational goals

Other Information
Basic math skills. Use basis lab equipment. Good knowledge of computer systems. Ability to work in refrigerated and frozen environments. Good communication skills. Needs to be organized, efficient, and have good time management skills. Ability to sit and stand for long periods. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Adheres to all standards, policies and systems as appropriate.
