Mt. Tabor Monday-Thursday (6a-4p), & Friday-Sun (5:30a-5:30P)

This is a working lead position; the incumbent will be responsible for assisting with the set-up of running orders at the beginning of each shift. This incumbent will also be responsible for printing orders on different presses in a manner that maximizes time and minimizes waste.


 Lead Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Production Manager with daily functions.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Communicate with other departments regarding workflow and the movement of orders through the department.
  • Utilize OM to track order status throughout departments.
  • Sets up and prints label jobs on press with minimal waste in a specific priority order determined by the Production Manager.
  • Assist employees in their assigned tasks, as necessary, helping to solve production problems related to a particular job.
  • Assist other press operators throughout the shift with required material needs (paper, ink, die).
  • Cleans printing press at the end of each shift
  • Maintain press and other equipment
  • Maintain visibility to assist other operators with questions, order setup, and equipment issues.
  • Train and coach new operators.
  • Communicate well with peers and other departments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Knowledge of all Presses.
  • High School diploma or equivalent. May include specialized classes beyond high school
  • Possesses 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to read, interpret and create simple correspondence and memos.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of mechanics and hazard communication standards and material safety data sheets.

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions

  • Frequent exposure to a manufacturing environment with one or more unpleasant or hazardous conditions including but not limited to exposure to dust, dirt, high noise levels, chemicals, etc. 21% to 50% of work time.
  • Incumbent constantly required to walk, stand, grasp, reach, push/pull, bend, stoop, twist and use manual dexterity for prolonged periods of time.
  • Incumbent regularly required to hear, speak, and use color vision.
  • Incumbent regularly required to carry and lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Work with rotating equipment, hazardous equipment, and safety-sensitive equipment.
