About the Role:
PlayCV is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to create opportunities that foster academic and personal growth through diverse enrichment activities and joyful play for all students. We strive to bring enrichment programs that both introduce and deepen subject matters of interest. Our intention is to foster team and individual growth while developing social interactions. All of our programs take place onsite at one of Castro Valley Unified School District’s elementary or middle schools.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and responsible Leagues Facilitator for our Leagues program. This role is perfect for those who enjoy working with kids, love sports, and want to build leadership and teamwork skills. This role will be part-time.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the sport by conducting the following duties including:
- Tracking scores
- Set up & take down
- Equipment distribution
- Fill Assistant Coach role if needed
- Check students in using personal phone
- Ensure program schedule is followed
- Model good sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
- Communicate effectively with the Athletics Program Coordinator and Assistant Coaches
Schedule (for Badminton program):
- Saturdays only, starting September 20th through November 15th, 2025
- No camp on Saturday, October 11th, 2025
- Program hours will be 3-5 hours per day in Castro Valley
- Must be available for the full 8-week program
Qualifications:
- Responsible, reliable, and punctual
- Able to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Have patience, compassion, and kindness.
Preferred:
- Interest in sports, coaching, or working with kids
This is a part-time position. All candidates must be able to submit to a TB test and LiveScan fingerprinting.
