Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment
  • Recruit, train, schedule and motivate store staff
  • Lead staff meetings and safety trainings (Monthly)
  • Ensure customer service is “legendary”
  • Manage profitability of store, accountability for store’s profit and loss statement (bottom line responsibility)
  • Handle complex customer complaints and questions
  • Oversee “request for equipment” list and drive store’s rental fleet mix
  • Ensure compliance with human resources, safety regulations and insurance requirements
  • Serve as the main contact for corporate office
  • Write purchase orders and ensure inventory is correct. 
  • Attend monthly manager’s meeting
  • Create a fun atmosphere for employees and customers 
  • Make sure we exceed customer expectations and make every step of the customer’s renting experience easy and enjoyable. This may include but is not limited to, taking orders by phone, preparing contracts, collecting payment, explaining equipment operation and safety features and loading equipment.  
  • Ensure equipment maintenance is being completed on time, every time
  • Responsible for company image (keep store clean, well maintained, and professional)


Requirements

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and intrapersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of Point of Rental software
  • Must be able to work required weekend shifts
  • Must possess sales and customer service skills
  • Must be able to provide, understand and complete written and verbal instructions 
  • Maintain a cooperative relationship with other store managers and employees
  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of patience 
  • Must maintain a professional appearance
  • Must be able to speak English clearly and write legibly. Ability to speak another language is a plus. 
  • Must pass a company drug screen


Working conditions

Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.

Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds with no less than a 40 db loss @500 Hz, 1,000 Hz and 2,000 Hz with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make fine discriminations in sound, such as when making fine adjustments on machined parts.

Repetitive motions: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.
