About the Department
The successful candidate will perform work of a moderately difficult to complex nature for Kent County Community Action. Duties will include utilizing and managing data bases, explaining program requirements to participants and local units of government, filing documents, meetings with participants and outside organizations, managing a moderate workload, administering and monitoring Community Action funded projects. Will also coordinate the process for board meetings including scheduling, preparation and distribution of meeting agendas and handouts, and attending meetings to record, transcribe and distribute minutes.
Minimum Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent combined with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience of a progressively more responsible nature. Requires the ability to interact positively with individuals from varied cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Strong organizational skills, accuracy and the ability to multi-task are essential. Individual must have good oral and written communication skills, sound judgment and be able to work independently.
