Financial Advisor / Treatment Coordinator – Dental Experience Required!
Location: Smile Magic Houston – Southwest Fwy

Reports to: Practice Manager
Key Partnerships: Billing, Clinical, Operations
Department: Operations
Salary: $18+/hr (based on experience)
Classification: Non-Exempt
Status: Full Time

You would work very closely with the dentist, take a big role, and help patients understand the dental care they need for their oral health. In this role, you will assist patients by providing options that most dental offices don’t offer! If you enjoy high-paced, high-energy environments, you will enjoy this job!

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Present treatment plans alongside the doctor and guide patients through their care options
  • Clearly explain procedures, costs, and financial solutions
  • Handle insurance breakdowns and payment coordination accurately
  • Follow up with patients on unscheduled treatment using established workflows
  • Work closely with clinical and front desk teams for smooth scheduling and communication
  • Document and track cases in Open Dental
  • Assist patients with financing through Healthcare Finance Direct and CareCredit
  • Monitor and improve treatment acceptance through measurable KPIs
  • Assist the office manager with sending claims and codes
  • Understand and manage pre-authorizations, narratives, and submission of intraoral images
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the front office/lobby area
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Basic Qualifications:

  • You've been a treatment coordinator for at least 1 year
  • You know how to build trust and explain treatment in a calm, confident way
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
  • You understand dental terminology, PPO insurance, and financial arrangements
  • You're familiar with Open Dental or similar platforms
  • Exceptional relationship-building and customer service skills
  • Strong follow-through and detail orientation
  • Effective communication with patients and co-workers
  • Spanish-speaking is a plus, but not required
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Schedule and Location:
Monday–Saturday (5 days/week with alternating schedule)
