  1. Interface with Airport, Airlines, and Ground Handling tenants to identify solutions and options that maximize the safety and operational efficiency of apron layout design.
  2. Partner with Engineering staff and local FAA on key projects to enhance and maintain the complex non-standard geometry of the SFO runway and taxiway system.
  3. Coordinate with Airline tenants on project impacts and assist in the development of mitigation strategies to minimize operational and revenue impact.
  4. Ensure construction and maintenance work on the AOA (work) conforms to the Federal Aviation Administration Advisory Circular 150/5370/2G regarding Operational Safety on Airports during Construction.
  5. Create and/or evaluate construction safety phasing plans, aligning construction operations with safety and compliance requirements while minimizing operational impacts.
  6. Ensure that the Airport Master Record (FAA) and updated information in Jeppesen, NOTAM and other aviation-related publications are current with any changed conditions.
  7. Produce briefing documents on project plans, impacts, and mitigations for airport leadership, airlines, FAA, and other stakeholders.
  8. Attend planning, partnering, pre-bid and construction meetings related to these projects.
  9. Ensure projects are aligned with the Airport’s Safety Management System (SMS), driving risk-based decision making.
  10. Provide insight on project timing, scope, and alignment to gain synergies that reduce closures, disruption, and cost.
  11. Monitor the work of and coach professional-level staff.
  12. Manage and review responsibilities to determine execution of airside budget.
