About the role

Trove is seeking an experienced and reliable full-time RN to lead our exceptional team of caregivers as the Director of Nursing overseeing our Charlottesville, Richmond, and Williamsburg locations. The Director of Nursing is required to attend client site visits and employee orientations in person, however the rest of their role may be configured remotely, providing great flexibility week-to-week for the right candidate. Trove also provides access to various office locations, if a traditional office setting is preferred.

What you'll do

• Supervise clients and caregivers in the execution of personal care services.
• Develop the client’s plan of care in collaboration with the client and client's family, inclusive of the following elements:
• Provide occasional care management, specialized field training, and emergency responses to clients, in accordance with the agency’s policies and procedures.
• Counsel clients and their families and advocate for the client’s best interests.
• Evaluate, plan, and oversee the organization’s direct services to clients.
• Support the recruitment and scheduling of caregivers
• Work in concert with other registered nurses on team to ensure coverage during all hours that personal care services are being provided.
• Ensure that appropriate personnel receive their 12 hours of in-service training and education.
• Verify all employees satisfy requirements for home attendants according to 12VA5-381-290 of Virginia Code.
• Confirm the organization remains in compliance with 12VA5-381 of Virginia Code.
• Conduct caregiver clinical skills checks during orientation for new hires.
• Lead and participate in weekly meetings, performance evaluations, disciplinary meetings, and care manager meetings, as necessary.
• Identify risk management, ethics, and compliance issues and propose suggestions for mitigation.
• Support the agency’s growth and KPIs
• Maintain accurate records of time logged for the agency.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a valid license in the State of Virginia.
• Proficient with technology
• Excellent bedside manner, customer contact skills, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet Trove's clientele and business needs.
• Active driver’s license and valid car insurance
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
• Strong sense of compassion, patience, and reliability
• Detail-oriented with a thorough and proactive approach to care
• Positive attitude and ability to provide emotional support and companionship to clients
• Must pass a background check and reference screening
• Must possess a great sense of humor!
