Job Description:

  • Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians- State of Washington Gaming Compact, Internal Controls, NIGC Regulations and Northern Quest Resort & Casino Policies and Procedures.
  • Properly diagnose faulty equipment. Attain a working knowledge of how to read and understand electronic schematics.
  • Safely and effectively operate shop tools including hand tools, soldering equipment, and electronic test equipment, etc.
  • Maintain and accomplish proper documentation machine repair logs, work orders, Out of Service Reports, etc.
  • Consistently use machine entry procedures as established in the System of Internal Controls.
  • Complete machine moves and other projects as assigned.
  • Respond to Floor calls in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for operation and maintenance of chip washing machine, including washing all value/non-value gaming chips.
  • Maintain and repair non-gaming equipment, i.e. vending machines.
  • Understand part inventory system.
  • Maintain security of equipment records and funds.
  • Follow policies and procedures as they relate to technical operations. Provide input on how policies and procedures may be streamlined to enhance machine repair, improve safety requirements, and security of equipment.
  • Provide exceptional service to customers and team members when performing job duties and conduct oneself in a professional and businesslike manner to reflect Northern Quest Resort & Casino’s high standard of excellence.
  • Ensure control/protection of company assets.
  • Responsible for maintaining a good attendance record.
  • May be required to be a panelist for the Internal Review Hearings.

Education, Experience & Other Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) in related field such as Electronics, Computer Science, and Information Technology or equivalent from two-year College or Technical school
  • Six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A strong electronic/mechanical background is preferred.
  • Knowledge of electronic and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Valid driver’s license (Must be in possession while operating a Tribal Vehicle).
  • Job offer is contingent upon successful completion of background check and pre-employment screening.
