Marketing Specialist


Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking an organized, goal-oriented individual to join our growing team as a Marketing Specialist in its Marketing Department for the Medical Communications division. This position is located in our New York, NY office with three days on-site (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and a team flex day) and two days remote.


Job Overview:

Reporting to the VP of Marketing within Haymarket Media's Campaign Performance Marketing team, this position will be responsible for developing and executing promotional campaigns to deliver all digital campaign goals for Haymarket’s Medical Communications websites (the Haymarket Medical Network). Applicants must be very methodical and motivated to meet campaign and revenue targets. 


Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute promotional materials (email campaigns, social media campaigns, native ads, house ads, on-site modules, etc.) to deliver sales campaigns 

  • Manage end-to-end email marketing campaigns by writing subject lines and preheaders, creating A/B tests, submitting campaign requests,strategically selecting content and audience segments, proofing and testing emails, ensuring proper client ads and targeting are used, overseeing deployment, monitoring performance metrics, and analyzing engagement results to generate insights for future campaigns

  • Coordinate efforts across internal teams to execute innovative digital marketing campaigns that achieve our business goals  

  • Ensure campaigns are progressing, other team members are updated on progress, challenges are escalated, campaign concerns are addressed, and results are delivered on time and within budget

  • Own cross promotion of myCME campaigns within the Medical Communications brands’ media channels to achieve business goals (email marketing, banner advertising, website promotions, behavioral-based marketing campaigns)

  • Analyze campaign results and provide post-campaign reports    

  • Other marketing initiatives, as assigned


Skills and Requirements:

  • 1-2 years relevant experience preferred

  • BS/MS degree in related field

  • Excellent writing and communication skills

  • Highly organized with an ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment while balancing strategic, tactical and analytical responsibilities

  • Knowledge of Google Sheets preferred

  • Experience with developing emails preferred - writing subject lines, A/B testing, testing, and scheduling
